ALEX

Alex specialises in pre and post natal fitness and has been training pregnant and post partum women for many years. She believes exercise should be fun and works closely to ensure that her training is not only beneficial but also sustainable over the long term.

Alex is an accredited exercise physiologist with over 10 years experience. Her extensive experience includes training over 55’s and individuals with chronic health conditions including heart disease and mental illness. She wants to pass on skills that create a healthier lifestyle over a lifetime.

CHARLOTTE

Charlotte’s style of training is focused on running and high intensity interval training. She is passionate and energetic and works close to Sydney University in any of the surrounding parks. Exercise provides her with balance and has given her an opportunity to test herself both physically and mentally.

She is a recent graduate of the Australian Institute of Fitness where she graduated as a Master Trainer Level 1. She is also a nutrition coach and sport has been a huge part of her life from playing Netball to Athletics.

MELODY

Melody believes that fitness should be fun and that it is never too late to try new things. Her training programs are as challenging for the mind as they are for the body. Her goal is to teach you to perform day to day activities safely while also having fun.

On a personal level, Melody is a curious and outgoing person. She is a motorcyclist, Dive Master Scubadiver, qualified architect and MBA graduate who has her Certificates III and IV in fitness. She dedicates herself to helping people stay fit and active for longer.

WILSON

Wilson has worked in the fitness industry for twenty years, working with senior executives at large multi-national companies amongst others. He has extensive experience working as a personal trainer and currently works with private clients in Sydney Park and in a private studio in Redfern.

Originally from Brazil, Wilson has been living in Sydney for more than two years. He has a degree in physical education and postgraduate qualifications in nutrition while also having completed Certificates III and IV in Fitness from the Australian college of sport and fitness.

MARIA

Maria is a qualified Hatha Yoga teacher. Through practice, she found not only physical benefits but also psychological meaning. She has always had an interest in psychology and esoteric disciplines and yoga has become her path to satisfying her two interests: The human body and mental health.

Maria was originally a professional dancer but wanted something deeper and more meaningful so began to study yoga. She has a curious nature, has completed her education and looks forward to sharing her knowledge with others.  Her goal is to make you confident, healthy and happy.

ALFRED ASIRVADHAM

I always had a love for fitness and helping others. I created Tier 1 with the goal of creating a business with purpose. It gives me the opportunity to combine my two loves: Helping others and holistic fitness to create positive results for the community.

I began my career in community services as a support worker before moving into casework and middle management. However, I was disappointed at the lack of sustainability and results being delivered to clients.

Intervention without stable mental and physical health was not productive and it became apparent that I should change my approach. The first thing I did was qualify as a personal trainer and use fitness as the foundation of our casework.

I found this helped my clients overcome their physical and psychological barriers. My goal is to help my clients improve their mobility, confidence and motivation in order to improve their overall quality of life.

With Australia having a high rate of both mental and physical issues my goal is simple – Help people from all walks of life improve their mental and physical wellbeing. That’s the essence and core principle of Tier 1 Training.

MICHAEL HENNESY

Michael is a running coach who believes that helping others reach their potential is the best and most fulfilling part of his job. He has his bachelor of Applied Science and his Certificate III and IV in fitness as well as being a Level 2 event coach for Athletics Australia.

Michael has a passion for the outdoors. He likes to run marathons and engage in adventure races.  He is also a health writer and contributes to several magazines and online publications.

SALLY CASTELL

Sally is a great advocate of healthy living for seniors. Her goal is to create positive attitudes around exercise and ageing while giving her clients great advice in regards to healthy living as they grow older.

She has a background in physiotherapy, recreational therapy and health education and has worked in various health departments. She is in the ideal position to provide guidance on exercise and health issues for seniors.

TIEN NGUYEN

Tien’s passion is to restore and improve people’s movement dysfunction. He is a Sports and Musculoskeletal physiotherapist who graduated from the University of South Australia.

He has an extensive work portfolio that includes injury management consulting, working at rehabilitation centres and industrial physiotherapy.  ‘Everyone has the capacity to move well and live well.’
