Any collaboration with outside allied health partners only adds to the service and brings even greater benefits to our clients and the community at large which is ultimately what we strive to do.

Personal Training

In the first three sessions we give you an overview of the program and what to expect. We listen to your input and take on any suggestions as to how we can create the best possible experience for you as a client.

We complete a fitness assessment; do some strength and flexibility testing as well as postural and movement analysis to give us a base to work from.

Once you decide to make a long-term commitment we will collaborate with you to create an eight-week program that meets your goals and desires but is still enjoyable and fun at the same time.

SESSION 1
Goal Setting Baseline testing (BMI, upper and lower body strength, core strength) – Strength Session – repetition based workout on primal movement patterns

SESSION 2
Injury history, strength and flexibility testing – Muscular endurance workout

SESSION 3
Postural Assessment – Boxing fundamentals or Mobility and rehab – learn boxing technique or how to improve mobility and flexibility

Corporate Training

How we do it

Our advisory board completes preliminary research to determine common issues within a work environment and then determines the key issues to apply to the team at large. The team then designs a corporate training program centered around the key principles of exercise, nutrition and wellbeing.

What the training involves

For a 12 week period fitness instructors hold group classes depending on the company’s requirements. Individuals are also given personalised home classes that are accessible through the app and are designed to improve posture and functional movement.

Ongoing support

At the start of the program a baseline assessment is done to use as a benchmark for progress and improvement. Data is compiled and passed on the company to determine the benefits of the program.

Collaboration

The way forward is to create a culture that prioritises the health of workers. The way to do that is by getting all the key stakeholders on the same page by getting employers and employees together at the same table to create that culture. Tier 1 has the tools and resources to help make that happen.

NUTRITION

Research has shown that there are specific food groups that give you the right type of nutrients to prolong your quality of life and are important to incorporate as you get older. You will get access to content and resources to help you make informed decisions.

WELLBEING

Mental health has long had a stigma that is slowly starting to dissipate. Up to 10 -15 per cent of seniors will have some form of mental episode and it’s important to put in place preventative measures. We can provide resources around mindfulness that can help create a sense of community as you exercise.

EXERCISE

The four steps taken are to diagnose, program, implement and evaluate.

Step 1 – Diagnose

  • What are your goals?
  • Past injuries
  • Eating habits
  • Base line tests       

Step 2 – Create a program
After your initial consultation our team of experts will develop a program that is custom made according to your lifestyle and the goals you wish to achieve. We set realistic short term goals around the three key pillars of exercise, nutrition and mental wellbeing.

Step 3 – Implement the program
A step by step guide as you climb the mountain. We set realistic short term goals and plan in six week blocks to keep the momentum going. We will be there to fine tune and assist as we move forward.

Step 4 – Evaluate
The program will invariably evolve over time. We look at the data, make sure that your goals continue to align with our plans and then implement the rest of the program accordingly. It’s a journey, an enjoyable one, and we certainly encourage you to enjoy the process and all the benefits that come with it.

NUTRITION

At Tier One you will get the knowledge and resources needed to make informed decisions regarding your nutritional intake. Research has shown there are specific diets for specific goals. The more knowledge you have the more informed your decision making becomes.

​Athletes need to ensure they have high energy intake while those interested in weight loss need to understand strategies for portion control and knowing what foods to avoid.

About Us Trainers

CHARLOTTE

Charlotte’s style of training is focused on running and high intensity interval training. She is passionate and energetic and works close to Sydney University in any of the surrounding parks. Exercise provides her with balance and has given her an opportunity to test herself both physically and mentally.

She is a recent graduate of the Australian Institute of Fitness where she graduated as a Master Trainer Level 1. She is also a nutrition coach and sport has been a huge part of her life from playing Netball to Athletics.

MELODY

Melody believes that fitness should be fun and that it is never too late to try new things. Her training programs are as challenging for the mind as they are for the body. Her goal is to teach you to perform day to day activities safely while also having fun.

On a personal level, Melody is a curious and outgoing person. She is a motorcyclist, Dive Master Scubadiver, qualified architect and MBA graduate who has her Certificates III and IV in fitness. She dedicates herself to helping people stay fit and active for longer.

WILSON

Wilson has worked in the fitness industry for twenty years, working with senior executives at large multi-national companies amongst others. He has extensive experience working as a personal trainer and currently works with private clients in Sydney Park and in a private studio in Redfern.

Originally from Brazil, Wilson has been living in Sydney for more than two years. He has a degree in physical education and postgraduate qualifications in nutrition while also having completed Certificates III and IV in Fitness from the Australian college of sport and fitness.
